I made a motion to Walker, letting him know I was walking in. He nodded once, motioning that he had my back, and we slipped through the gate. We didn’t have any colors on, our club cuts back at the clubhouse in the apartment upstairs. Every single member was wearing all black with masks over our faces so we couldn’t be identified.

I popped off two shots, sinking a bullet in each man’s head as they turned towards us. The gravel lot didn’t help matters much since the rocks moved beneath our boots, but Walker and I knew how to navigate this shit, and we worked well together.

We always had. Our military training had never left us, and it was like second nature to navigate a terrain like this. Hell, this was one of the easiest things we’d done.

Finally, the sound I needed to hear met my ears. A shout rang out, and then it was fucking chaos from there. Walker and I marched through the compound, dodging bullets as we hunted down the president.

Walker made a motion to me as we plastered ourselves against a wall so bullets couldn’t hit us. He pointed up ahead where someone had just poked his head around a corner. I grinned, and we dropped low to the floor, moving as fast as we could in a squat to get to the fucker who was in hiding.

“Surprise, mother fucker,” I breathed as I stood to my feet, pressing the barrel of my gun to the back of his neck when I crept up behind him.

He quickly dropped his gun and put his hands up. Walker moved around me, a malicious grin pulling at his lips.

“Surprise indeed,” Walker agreed. With that, he slammed the butt of his gun into the asshole’s abdomen, a snarl twisting his lips. “That’s for almost killing my woman.” He looked up at me. “Let’s get him the fuck out of here.”

Unable to help myself, I gripped the back of Walker’s neck and pressed my lips to his. “Fucking love it when you get pissed like that.”

He just grinned at me.
